Sri Rama Navami

Across the India People celebrate ‘Sri Rama Navami’ to marks the Birth day, Marriage day and Coronation (Pattabhisekam) day of Lord Rama.

This festival comes on ‘Chaitra Masa Sukla Paksha Navami’.The 'Vasanth Nava rathris' Started with 'Ugadi' will be ended with 'Sri Rama Navami'.

Sri Rama the 7th Incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu is known for his honesty and morality. The way he ruled his Kingdom (Rama Rajyam) is considered as an Ideal till today.

KALYANA MAHOTSTHAVAM AT BADRACHALAM:

Badrachalam Sita Rama Chandra Temple is on the bank of River Godavari. This is also known as Ayodya of south india(Dhakshina Ayodhya).

Every year 'Kalyana Mahotsavam’ will be celebrated to The Idols of Rama and his consort Sita at Midhila Stadium of This Temple.The auspicious time(Muhurtham) to place 'Jeera-Jaggery' on the heads of Idols is Punarvasu Naksatra and abijith Lagna. On behalf of Government of AP,CM attends and offers Silk Clothes and Pearls to pour as Talambralu . The magnificence of the Telugu marriages can be completely seen in the wedding of Rama. It is an eye fest .we can see this Live on DD.

RAMA RASAM:

The following Prasadas will be offered to Rama and distributed to devotees.

Panakam: Drink made by adding Grated jaggery,pepper,elaichi to Water.Filtered with a cloth.
Chalimidi: Rice flour mixed with Grated Jaggery by adding some water.
Vadapappu: Soaked Moong Dal

Among these panakam will be known as Rama Rasam.
